Sunderban National Park Tour

The Sunderbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world and is situated in the
southern tip of West Bengal. The park covers an area of 1330 sq. km. This park
is the home to the world-famous Royal Bengal Tiger of which there are more than 400 tigers
in the forest. This tropical forest is teeming with an incredible variety of wildlife including the
Chital deer, Rhesus monkey, Ridley sea turtles, crocodiles, and the king cobra. Tours on small motor boats and motor launches are available. These can enter the
narrow water channels thereby enhancing the possibility of sighting a tiger.
The best time to visit this Park is between November to May.
Tour Schedule :
Day 1 - Arrival at Kolkata and transfer to hotel. (Night halt)
Day 2 - Travel to Gosaba by car and then to Sajnekhali by launch (Night halt)
Day 3 - Full day cruise by boat through the narrow creeks of the dense jungle. Also visit the Sudhanyakhali and Netidhopani watch-tower. Night halt at Sajnekhali.
Day 4 - Visit the forest museum and spend leisure time at the Sajnekhali watch-tower. Night halt at Sajnekhali.
Day 5 - Visit to the crocodile project. Night halt at Sajnekhali.
Day 6 - Travel back to Kolkata by launch and car and transfer to hotel (Night halt).
